It’s enabled us to feel united despite having to stay apart… 💜

June 27th, 2020

I cannot believe that 3 years has passed since I plucked up the courage to attend an audition to join Love Soul Choir. Getting that email saying I had been successful was literally one of my best days ever and since then, I have never looked back.

On my first day I was overwhelmed with how friendly all the other choir members were and how it had such a family vibe, I knew this was going to be a place I would want to stay.

One thing I love about our choir is the gigs we attend throughout the year. There is nothing better than putting in that hard work during rehearsals to work towards a performance where our harmonies and dance moves finally come together! Seeing the crowds form, watching their smiling faces and hearing them joining in is just one of the most joyous feelings.

Each and every gig is special, from our wedding performances, to singing on every train platform during our mini tour from Bournemouth to London Waterloo, to having the fantastic once in a lifetime opportunity to perform with Take That at Saint Mary’s Stadium.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought about a challenging time but our online choir sessions have meant we have been able to continue to learn new songs and partake in recording our individual harmonies, brought together via technology by our choir leader. Hearing these recordings has enabled us to feel united together even though we have had to remain apart during this difficult time. There are likely to be many happy tears when we are finally able to sing together again!
