We’ve had a busy few weeks at Love Soul Choir, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! As we countdown to One Sound, our performance at Mayflower Theatre, here’s a quick recap of just some of the things we’ve been up to recently.
The King’s Coronation 👑
Earlier this month, we were delighted to be asked to perform by ITV Meridian as part of their Coronation celebrations. Lots of our members headed to the King Charles pub in Winchester to film a performance of ‘Levitating’, originally by Dua Lipa, as well as to perform for pub guests.
We had a fantastic afternoon performing in the sunshine, and it was great to see our performance on ITV Meridian. We always love the chance to perform on TV!

City Clean at Southampton Common 🌿
This month, we hosted our second ‘Green Event’ of 2023 – a litter pick at Southampton Common. Our members spent a morning picking up litter around the Common and had an awesome time connecting with each other.
We love organising these events as it gives our members a chance to get out in nature. It also allows us all to do something that makes the space cleaner and safer for both wildlife and people.

One Sound Joint Rehearsal 🎭
Last week, we hosted a Joint Rehearsal for our members, in Bournemouth. The countdown to One Sound: Musicals is on (it’s now officially less than 10 days away!) so we couldn’t wait to get together and rehearse as one team. It’s always really special when our Southampton and Bournemouth choir members come together, and this time was no different!
We’ve been working super hard on our setlist for One Sound, and we can’t wait to come together with Sound Pop Academy and Sing Now Choir at Mayflower Theatre next weekend. If you’d like to come and watch, there are still a few tickets left.
