A ‘Night of Celebration’ to remember! ✨

November 19th, 2019

I feel lucky to be part of such an incredible choir but that feeling doesn’t even begin the cover the joy and pride I felt at the end of our performance for Naomi House & Jacksplace the other week. It was the charity’s ‘Night of Celebration’ event and it took place at St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton. This charity help some of the most seriously ill children and young adults, and their families, from across the south. This event was set up to recognise and thank the charity supporters and volunteers for their continued and loyal support.

I’ve been working on the marketing team at this children’s hospice charity since May 2018 and hoped that one day I’d be able to bring together my love for the charity and my love for singing. After being a part of Love Soul Choir performances at the train stations earlier in the year, raising money for Mind, the mental health charity, I knew that Love Soul Choir would be the perfect addition to the charity’s annual celebratory event. I was right!

As guests starting tucking into their main course, they had a quite a surprise! We started off the set by walking in, singing one of our uplifting songs, ‘Just Got Paid’ and were greeted by smiling faces (albeit full of food!) and applause as we carried on singing.

The feedback I received from colleagues after the event was nothing but positive. Everyone absolutely loved the performance and felt it fitted the theme and feel of the event perfectly! Safe to say, I was extremely proud to be included and hope that the choir can support Naomi House & Jacksplace again in the future.
