Summer is always busy in the Love Soul Choir camp and this year is no different. We have been out and about performing all around the south coast. And having a blast along the way! 😀
So, what have we been up to?
A few weeks ago, we spent three days performing at the New Forest Show. We last performed at the New Forest Show back in 2019 and we were really excited to be back. We performed three times each day and our members also had a chance to spend time with each other and enjoy the show. Our choir leader, Dan, even got pied at the end of our final day – it was quite a week!
July was rounded off with a performance at the wedding of one of our members, Katie. Katie and Tom got married at a church in Dorchester and we were honoured to perform at their ceremony and be part of their special day.
Just last weekend, we had our third Green Plan event of the year; a nature walk in the New Forest. Some of our members met for a Saturday morning walk to explore the area around Burley. We had a great time walking, talking and learning about the area and its wildlife from member (and our very own nature expert), Rachel. Read more about our Green Plan.
What’s next? 🤩
We’ve still got loads more to come this summer. We’re looking forward to a performance at Swanage Lifeboat Week this Saturday, at Westquay Shopping Centre for Southampton Pride and the Dorset Plane Pull at Bournemouth Airport.
We’ve also started rehearsing for our Winter Show. We can’t wait to be at The Point in Eastleigh for our Winter Show this December and to join forces with Sound Pop Academy for an afternoon performance. Bring it on! 💜
